Sales Supervisor

SUMMARY OBJECTIVE
The Sales Supervisor is responsible for leading the company’s revenue engine. This position is responsible for creating and nurturing high performance sales and leading them to hit revenue and profit forecasts while ensuring that customer needs are met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Develop, lead, coach and mentor a high-performance team of sales employees.

  • Build a sales plan, inclusive of both inside and outside sales strategies, and assign team members specific sales quotas and sales targets to meet. Monitor and provide feedback to each sales employee to ensure they meet their quota.
  • Implement best practices for the sales team.
  • Oversee all Inside Sales efforts generated through online advertising and direct marketing channels, focused specifically on maximizing conversion rate of quotes.
  • Responsible for identifying and developing a plan to acquire new customers, not captured through online and catalog campaigns, including cold calling on new accounts, displaying at regional electrical contractor shows, executing company’s sales plan, approaching lighting manufacturer’s and large distributor/wholesalers as a supplier for the company’s newly developed production division.
  • Responsible for setting pricing plans and discount rates on products, with approval from management.
  • Responsible for all sales training efforts, specifically product knowledge and professional development, including but not limited to, regular training sessions with outside consultants, interdepartmental cross training and team building events to increase team effectiveness.
  • Develop incentive programs, monetary and non-monetary, to motivate sales team and increase sales.
  • Responsible for all Sales personnel management, to include recruitment, performance management and employee coaching and counseling to maintain a strong and high performing team.
  • Accountable for ensuring all Sales staff are properly trained on company processes and sales technologies (such as CRM) in order to most effectively contribute to the company’s sales goals.
  • Responsible for regular meetings with Sales team and tracking team metrics to ensure they are meeting, or exceeding sales quotas and achieving customer satisfaction. Report to company leadership on a weekly basis with sales performance updates.
  • Analyze sales data on sales results and develop plans to address performance gaps.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the company, specifically marketing, purchasing, warehouse and production to stay apprised of new and/or discontinued products, competitive product offerings, packaging related challenges, lead time or delivery issues, and customer feedback.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent years of relevant work experience.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a competitive, high energy sales environment.

Demonstrated ability to build, develop and lead high performing sales people.

At least 3 years' experience working with P&L and create annual budget.

Proven results in developing and delivering strong sales results requiring contract negotiations.

Inside Sales Representative

SUMMARY OBJECTIVE

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for selling products to current and new customers to support the company’s revenue engine.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product needs; identifies and suggests products to meet those needs.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
  • Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products and enhancements that may be of interest.
  • Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems in NetSuite.
  • Collaborates with purchasing, customer service and department managers to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
  • Weekly follow-up on Quotes is required to generate additional revenue.
  • Accountable for continuing to develop professional and technical knowledge through attending workshops and other educational trainings, participating in professional societies and industry networks and reading professional and industry publications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
