Material
This round tapered direct burial light pole, made from aluminum alloy 6063-T6, is 35 feet high with a wall thickness of 0.188 inches and maximum EPA rating of 6.9 at 110 mph. The butt diameter is 9 inches and tapers to 4.5 inches in diameter at the top. Our aluminum light poles are designed to American Association of State Highway & Transportation Officials (AASHTO) standards and meet all applicable material ASTM standards. All welders are American Welding Society (AWS) certified.
Direct Burial
This pole is designed to be embedded directly in to the ground which eliminates the need for anchor bolts and a base plate. The embedded length for this pole is: 6 feet below grade.
Fiberglass vs. Aluminum
Unlike fiberglass poles which may chalk or split, our aluminum light poles have much longer life expectancy than fiberglass poles. In addition, lawn mowers and weed whackers can cause significant damage to fiberglass poles, including pole failure. If desired, we can flatten a 1 foot - 1 foot 6 inch portion of the base. A 1 and 3/4 inch diameter wire hole including a 1 and 1/2 inch I.D. rubber grommet is included for drawing wires. This wire hole is located 1 foot - 6 feet below the grade level. In addition, aluminum is not affected by the ultraviolet fading and fiber blooming in fiberglass, resulting in costly repainting or replacement.

Our standard aluminum light pole color is Natural Aluminum finish; however, we provide 5 other colors at no extra charge. Our thermoset powder coat process is in accordance with AAMA 2604 classification and is much superior to AAMA 2603 used by other manufacturers. We provide a color chart of available standard powder-coat finishes here. However, we caution that the colors you see on your screen may not be exactly the way they look on the poles and we cannot guarantee exact color.
